Spring is here!!!  The trees have bloomed, the flowers are flourishing, and the air is hinting at a summery, salty breeze.  It is hard not to get excited about summer and all the fun activities involved with a warm, breezy evening spent outside.  Some of my favorite spring and summer pastimes are spent running around outside with friends playing late into the twilight a game of baseball pretending we were the Yankees or the Sox, with the adults entertaining on the porch.  Echoes of laughter, the smells of the BBQ and fresh cut grass, and the sweet tastes of campfire smores continue as a staple in most memories from spring and summer.  The cool spring is just teasing me with the promise of these fun times.  So to appease my palate, I thought a fun links and likes: spring outdoor refresh is definitely in order.

spring outdoor refresh with new furniture setsFirst, if you are like me, I am on the lookout for new patio furniture. Target has some fun, reasonably priced sets that are on sale now, and I found a couple that would be a great way to update your entertaining game.  The Fernhill is a full set with a fireplace and with modern lines and not too bulky.  I also really love the soft and comfy look of the Fowell, heavy duty conversation set.

If you have a great patio set already, but just need a fresh look, outdoor pillows and outdoor rugs are the perfect way to create a whole new look that is easy on the budget.  My favorites are the tropical and the orange crush pillows both found on Esty.  they are colorful, bright, and bold– which is fun to do in an outdoor space!  Also, check out this fun patio cushion!  Love!

A spring outdoor refresh wouldn’t be complete without some new outdoor games.  There are some really cool new options out there for a great entertaining hoopla.  The next ones on my list to buy/make are the giant Jenga, giant Yardzee, and the outdoor twister (Ummm… super easy to DIY, even I could spray paint circles!) Many of the outdoor games, you can do it yourself… if you are good with that kind of stuff.  Otherwise, if you are like me, you can find the giant Jenga and the giant Yardzee on Amazon here and here.

This week is supposed to be amazing in the northeast, so be sure to hurry and get ready to entertain and have some fun outside!
